Robert Baldacci, MPA
Bob brings a successful 30 year career in real estate, development and corporate finance. He has held leadership positions at the state level as well as involvement in several national organizations.
Bob served as Chairman of the Finance Authority of Maine, Vice Chairman of the Maine Guarantee Authority, President of the Bangor Region Development Alliance, Board member of the University of Maine Board of Visitors, President of the Economic Development Council of Maine, and Board member of the Quaglia Institute for Student Aspirations. Robert has also served as Adjunct Professor at the University of Maine.
Bob has developed over $30 million in various residential and commercial real estate projects, served as Managing Partner of Pierce Atwood Consulting (an affiliate of the law firm Pierce Atwood), represented two major universities in negotiating memoranda of understanding with Queens University and the University of Ulster in Northern Ireland facilitating student and faculty exchanges and joint research opportunities. Bob also served as Vice President of Development for Ocean Properties, Ltd., one of North America’s largest owner operators of hotels and resorts. Most recently, Bob assisted with the acquisition of the Blethen Maine Newspaper Group which include three daily newspapers in Maine; the Portland Press Herald, Kennebec Journal, and Waterville Sentinel as well as Maine Sunday Telegram and MaineToday.com.
Bob received his BA and Masters in Public Administration from the University of Maine.
Elizabeth Baldacci
Elizabeth brings with her extensive experience in sales & marketing, and corporate management. She began her career as a disability sales consultant for UNUM. In 1994 she worked as a brokerage manager for US Healthcare in Philadelphia, one of the first HMO models in the United States. She spent the last 15 years with Guardian Life Insurance Company, holding various sales and executive management positions during this time. Elizabeth was inducted into Guardian’s Hall of Fame in August 2008 for 10 years of consistent elite level production.
Most recently, Elizabeth was the Northeast Regional Sales Manager for Guardian’s Guarantee Issue Disability program. She was the #1 regional sales manager in the country for her product line in 2009 and through the fall of 2010.
Elizabeth was raised in Cumberland and graduated from Greely High School. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in International Relations with a focus in Developmental Economics from the College of William & Mary in 1993. She currently lives on Cumberland Foreside.
Elizabeth also coaches Track & Field at Greely High School and is Vice President and Director of Fundraising for Partners for Rural Health in the Dominican Republic.
Robert Baldacci III, MBA
Bob brings nearly a decade of government consulting, software development, stakeholder engagement and training experience. He helped develop product offerings for a medium-sized national consulting company into mature market ready solutions. He has also been active in many national organizations, including the National Association of State Human Services Finance Officers.
While at Public Consulting Group, Bob developed an annual book of business of over $3 million dollars on a wide range of projects. He engaged in direct communication with federal cognizant agencies for approval of state and local government reimbursement plans. The agencies he negotiated with include the US Department of Health and Human Services, the Division of Cost Allocation, the Administration for Children and Families, the Department of Agriculture, and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Other projects Bob led included locally-stored and Web-based applications for cost allocation and time and effort reporting, needed by state and local agencies to comply with various federal regulations.
Bob is also active in Maine with various fundraising efforts, including several of behalf of the University of Maine Foundation which have grossed over $100,000 for the Robert and Rosemary Baldacci Scholarship Fund.
Immediately after graduating from Providence College with an B.A. in Political Science in 2003, Bob worked in Portland at American Housing Preservation Corporation leading acquisitions of affordable multi-family developments across the country. Bob graduated from Clark University in 2011 with his M.B.A.
